The Poetry of Worship

“What is it we worship?” Can poetry–derived from songs of praise–help deepen our sense of what we make worthy in worship? What is it you deeply love? How can refraining from our habitual business help us find this quiet voice within and see the world in all its tender wonder? And, as luck would have it, we don’t have to do this alone. Join Susan Keiter, Ron Weisberg, Aiden Caitlin Kearns, Rev. Sean Parker Dennison, Renee Witon, Nancy Henderson, and cellist Chris Morales for a medley of poetry, music, and reflection.
This pre-recorded worship video will premiere at 10:30 AM on the First Unitarian Church of Oakland YouTube channel and will be available for on-demand viewing thereafter. Embracing Meditation

A time to share what you’re thinking of with care, embracing meditation will take place via Facebook Live on the First Unitarian Church of Oakland Facebook page. Virtual Coffee Hour
11:30 to 12:10 PM
Let’s have coffee hour together on Sunday from 11:30 AM until 12:10 PM, for the first session, and if people return, we can stay for 20 minutes more. You bring your drink or snack and get on Zoom. We begin with a couple of sing-along songs.
