Embodying Our Hopes for the Year of the Pig

2019 will be a year of fortune and luck, full of joy, friendship and love for all the signs, an auspicious year because the Pig attracts success in all spheres of life.

Our guest speaker will be Frank H. Wu, William L. Prosser Distinguished Professor, University of California Hastings College of Law, (first) President of the Committee of 100, a non-profit whose twin missions are US-China relations and the participation of Chinese Americans in all aspects of public life. He is the author of Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White and co-author of Race, Rights and Reparations: Law and the Japanese Internment. He and his wife, Carol attended All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington D.C. They now reside in San Francisco.

Music will be provided by Geoff Ullrich and the Pop-Up Choir directed by Susan Keiter (show up at 9:00 am to rehearse).
The service will be followed by an all church potluck full of favorite New Year’s dishes and treats and featuring dumplings made the night before from 5-8 PM in Wendte Hall.

Please bring items for the ancestral altars. And wear red, yellow, gold, orange and pink. This is a Time for All Ages service.
