Earth, Celebrate and Save It!

In celebration of Earth Day, the Earth Justice Advocates will celebrate what we love about the earth, what might threaten our beloved Earth, and what we’re doing about it. Corless Smith and Jeffrey Melcher will conduct a chorus of short messages from the mind and heart: Heather MacLeod will begin with a consideration of the grief we feel at how the earth is treated. Jack Macy will face the plastic menace. Tom Haw will celebrate sun power, and Tom Smith will lift up the saving graces of all-electric homes. Clark Sanford will describe the immense possibilities of regenerative agriculture. Vanessa Warheit presents the conundrum of transportation. Bret Andrews shows us the current legislative actions that address the environment and tells us how to plug into those efforts. Petra Mensch will present a UU youth perspective. Jeffrey Melcher will sing the scintillating “Dirt Made My Lunch,” and the Crescendo octet will sing “My Old Brown Earth.” Please join together with us for this earth celebration and action outline.
