Bridging Ceremony

If you’re joining us for the first time, we would like to give you a full welcome! Please answer a few questions on our Guest Connection Card.

This week in worship, we will celebrate bridging. The Bridging Ceremony celebrates the transition of our youth from a high school experience into young adulthood. While many rituals have changed in shape because of the pandemic, gifts we can still offer each other include witness and celebration.

This week’s worship service video will be posted on the First Unitarian Church of Oakland YouTube Channel by Sunday morning, for viewing at any time you choose. This Sunday, May 31, we invite you to watch the video with other members of the congregation at a Facebook Watch Party at 10:30 AM!

Embracing Meditation

We continue to do the embracing meditation on Sunday mornings via Facebook Live on the First Unitarian Church of Oakland Facebook page.

At 10:20 AM, the meditation will start and you will be able to read others’ comments and put the things you’re thinking of with care in your own comments.

If you don’t use Facebook, but you would like to include names or words, please feel free to email them or text them before Sunday at 10 AM, with EMBRACING MEDITATION in the subject line.
