East Bay Housing Organizations Faith and Justice Committee, Qal’bu Maryam Women’s Mosque, and #TeamMakeOaklandBetter invite congregants of First Unitarian to join them in an evening of community, food, and music, which they are sponsoring in honor of Ramadan. Ministering with Young Adults

In our efforts to be an intentionally multigenerational community, we must know how to welcome and work with people of all ages. In this workshop, we will discuss some generational differences, how to avoid microaggressions based on age, and how to create a welcome that sticks. Interim Director of Religious Education Alex has over a decade’s worth of experience ministering with young adults. He will share some insights into what young people are (and are not) looking for in a church community.
