  • Saturday , Jan. 18th , Religious Traditions Discussion Group , 10:30 AM – 12 PM , Room Library. The third source of Unitarian Universalism acknowledges the wisdom of many religious traditions around the world. All are welcome to join in an investigation of these traditions through guided discussions.   • Sat., Jan. 18, Oakland Women’s March, Meet on Steps of Church at 9:30 AM. Join the women and their allies from the First Unitarian to march/roll in the Oakland Women’s March on Saturday, January 18!

      10:00am Make signs at Frank Ogawa Plaza
      10:45am Gather at 14th & Washington
      11:00am March/roll a 1.3 mile route starting & ending at Frank Ogawa Plaza
      12-4 Rally and Community Fair

  • Sun, Jan. 19, Pop-Up Choir, 9:15 AM in the Sanctuary. Our Pop-Up Choir is for EVERYONE who enjoys singing in a group and wants to share that spirit. Pop-Up Choir songs are easy to learn and words are always displayed. Show up at 9:15 am on these Sundays, learn 2 songs, sing in the service and you’re done. No RVSP required.   • Mon., Jan 20, MLK DAY Meditation Group-Community Meditation, 7:15 PM – 8:30 PM, Located in Rockridge near BART. As is our MLK Day custom, we’ll watch Dr. King’s March on Washington speech prior to sitting, so the meditation will begin about 7:45PM. We meet the third Monday of each month to cultivate peace from within, nurturing self-awareness, kindness, and compassion for all beings. Meditators of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. Silent meditation for 40 minutes followed by treats and gentle conversation.
