Fri., July 17, 2 PM – Sun., July 19, 12 PM, Women’s Retreat, at Redwood Glen Retreat Center, Loma Mar, CA.  This joyful and meaningful annual event welcomes all who identify as women or girls, as well as boys under age 6.  This year’s theme is “Diving Deeper, Rising Higher.” Registration begins in April. Board Meeting Schedule Change! The Board meeting that was to be held on Sunday January 26 will now be held on Tuesday evening January 28, 7:00 p.m. in the program room.  Visitors are MOST welcome!  There will be an open comment period of 15 minutes at the start of the meeting for congregants who would like to share thoughts, give feedback or ask questions.  See upcoming Chatter articles for the Board meeting schedule going forward.

 

From the Board: Our 2020 Budget. As you might have heard from Steve Thomasberger during December services, the Board, with a lot of help from the Finance Team, our Treasurer and Operations Team, passed a balanced budget for fiscal year 2020!  We’ve been working diligently to pull in the last few pledges, to insure that we have the money to fund it.  Cost of Living raises for all clergy and staff, a new part-time Membership Coordinator position, a generous donation to Boost West Oakland, and funding our special events this year:  Rev. Soto’s installation in April and Michelle Ma’s ordination in May!  The budget is full of good news. We are thrilled to have the additional boost from the Wendte Endowment interest to fund building maintenance!  We will outline the budget at the annual meeting in March.  If you have not yet made your 2020 pledge, please email Hester Green.
