Sun. Sept. 16 Ella Baker Center Audit the Sheriff Campaign 12:15 PM -1:30 PM Third floor open space. The Ella Baker Center Audit the Sheriff Campaign needs you!!!Audit the Sheriff Campaign: talking points for calls and visits with Board of Supervisors before the Oct. 2 march from Glen Dyer Detention Center to the Board of Supervisors. Light snacks provided. Let our supervisors know that we expect people held in jail to be treated with basic human dignity. Rescheduling: Earth Justice Associates Usually meets on the third Sunday of the month after service. However, in September, we will meet on Sunday, September 30th, following the service. On September 23rd, we will help with the recycling process following the first Potluck of the season. This process needs some attention, and this is the largest monthly event that needs supervision. Use your organizational savvy to help UU Oakland programs be more effective. The Committee on Shared Ministry uses interviews and surveys to understand which aspects of church life are working well and which might need support or attention. Serving on the CoSM is a great way to support the health of our beloved community by providing insight into all aspects of the church — the lay and professional ministries, religious and educational programming, worship, community and family activities, etc. The CoSM is looking for three new members to help conduct assessments and make strategic recommendations to the Board.
