The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Rev. Laurel Liefert has been hired to be our part-time contract minister for the ’23-’24 Church program year. Rev. Liefert was a member of this church many years ago before becoming a minister and was ordained by this congregation in 2008.

The Board is so pleased to have found a candidate for the position whose strengths lie in the areas we feel are deeply needed: in conducting worship and supporting shared ministry through lay participation in worship. We are also so happy to have a minister who shares FUCO’s love of music and recognizes the role the music ministry plays in our congregational community.

We feel very lucky that a minister with long experience can oversee our worship and allow us, the congregation, to focus this year on healing, growing, and exploring our identity.
