Week of 11/01 Updates

New Announcements & Events Added This Week

We are hiring a part-time membership coordinator. Good news! The Board of Trustees has authorized hiring a part-time membership coordinator to support the ministry of this vibrant and growing congregation. Working with the Community Connections team, they will help welcome visitors, facilitate pathways to belonging, and integrate newer members into the ministries of the church. 10 hours/week, including Sundays, some Tuesdays, and some evening hours. Please spread the word outside our congregation. For a job description or questions – revsheri@uuoakland.org.

Sun., Nov. 18, “Many Paths To First Unitarian” Returns!, 11:45 AM – 12:30PM,  Starr King Room. Our members and friends have come to this church from significantly different personal spiritual pathways, and have arrived on this spiritual, inclusive, and justice centered community not by accident. Join us on Nov 18, to share in this warm community sharing story and give yourself the treat that this sharing of our personal stories makes possible. There are so many wonderfully interesting and inspiring stories from our members about their spiritual path thus far. It will be our treat and honor as the months unfold to hear from some of them. Questions? Please contact  bevsmrha@gmail.com.

Sun., Nov. 18, Congregational Survey Reflect Back, 9 AM – 10:15, Starr King Room. Curious what your fellow congregants said in the Search Committee’s September Survey? Learn how your responses mirror and diverge from other respondents as you grab a hot beverage and yummy baked good. Questions? Please contact Donna immig.atty@gmail.com.
