Our church is hosting the 6th Annual Pot of Gold Conference sponsored by the Pacific Central District’s Liberal Religious Educators Association. September 30th from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Acclaimed UU minister and author Rev. Dr. Mark Morrison-Reed will give the keynote address: “The Ignored, the Naive, and the Innocent,” which will address how we support our children of color as they navigate a multicultural world which, while often seeming benign, can feel unwelcoming and at times can be dangerous. Additional workshops include improvisation, new directions in youth ministry, theology for religious education, changes in models of Sunday school programs, and more!
