Practicing Joy

One Service at 10:30am

Joy, unlike more fleeting feelings of excitement and pleasure, is an orientation of the heart towards what gives us contentment and hope. We can experience everything on the emotional spectrum, from bliss to disappointment to passion to grief, all while rooted in joy. But how do we practice orienting ourselves to it, and then find ways to keep joy centered in our lives? In this Sunday’s service, we will explore establishing these practices, and the challenges of holding onto joy, becoming rooted in it, and letting it guide our religious journeys and our lives.
