Christmas Pageant on Hiatus this Year
For many of us all around the world, Christmas will look different this year. Beloved traditions are being altered or put on hold for the sake of public safety. Included in this is our beloved No-Rehearsal Christmas Pageant. Many of us have fond memories of past pageants, and while we hoped to make it happen some way, we realized we are not able to do so. It was a difficult choice but the right one and a decision not made lightly. We hope we can celebrate in person next year. In the meantime, we invite you to join us for the family-friendly virtual Christmas Eve service on December 24 at 6 PM. We also hope you will participate in one or many of the 12 Days of Christmas Chapels–many of which are child and family friendly. So until the time when the shepherds follow the star to the manger in Bethlehem and until the angels watch over mother and child once again, we will continue to do the work of Christmas.

Alex’s Latest Pep Talk: Waiting and Preparing a New World
As we move into December, we are seeing a cluster of holidays that promise that a new world is possible. It is hard to wait. And it feels more and more like we are waiting for something that may not come. But Alex’s Pep Talk this week reminds us that we have already come so far together, and we will continue to rely on each other as we move forward. Even in our failures, we are moving toward a new world.
