The Good News of the Hillsides

WEB DuBois tells us that, “[I]t is the spirit that knows Beauty.” Unitarian Universalists embrace the symbolism of flowers to share some of the good news of our values.  This service will include a variety of observance, ritual, and celebration.

This is the first Ingathering, or New Member ceremony, that we have celebrated since the Fall of 2019 because of the COVID-19 closures.  Come, welcome and meet our new members, as we commit to each other, our community, and our commonly-held UU principles!

We will also be observing Flower Ceremony (some folks call this flower communion).  Bring a flower or a vegetable to share.  For folks attending in Hamilton Hall, if you color or print a flower page, we can share it with Zoom attendees.

Attending by Zoom? Please feel free to bring a flower or vegetable to your Zoom space. You can also print or print and color one of these flower pages:

If you’re joining us for the first time, we would like to extend a full welcome! Please answer a few questions on our Guest Connection Card. After the service, we have informal discussion in our Virtual Coffee Hour — just stay in the same Zoom session after service ends. During that coffee hour, you can join our Newcomer Welcome breakout room for a quick introduction to the church and answers to your questions.

We look forward to you joining us for worship service each week! For more information, check out About Worship.
