Donating Appreciated Stock Makes Sense

You may donate stock in fulfillment of your annual Stewardship pledge or as a special non-pledge gift. (Appreciated stock is also a good way to donate to a Capital Campaign when and if the church begins one). We plan to provide more information on this topic in the future, but for now, if you wish to take advantage of this option, please contact for details.

Endowing Our Church

Members of First Unitarian have formed an ad hoc committee to investigate ways that they can help provide direction to other church members and friends who might be interested in endowing our church as a beneficiary, now or in the future.

There are many methods to endow the church, including, but not limited to (1) donating depreciated assets in the near future, (2) establishing trusts and annuities and (3) bequesting assets in our wills. Such gifts would be used for the expressed purpose of providing a financial resource to extend or enhance our church’s ability to fulfill its mission and purpose into perpetuity.

At its September 2009 meeting, the Board of Trustees adopted an Endowment Policy (PDF).  Gifts to the Endowment Fund are being gratefully accepted. Please contact for details.
