Pandemic Update

This week, Pastor Theresa and facilities manager Stefan Schneider met with other leadership in the church to talk about and continue to track pandemic status for Alameda County and the Bay Area. While Alameda County is at Orange level, we do not have the capacity for safe conditions at this time, but Stefan continues to faithfully prepare the building for our return, with additional tools and protection. A combination of science and best practices asks us to continue waiting until it is safe. White Catholic bishop Fulton Sheen offers this reminder:

Patience is power.
Patience is not an absence of action;
rather it is “timing”
it waits on the right time to act,
for the right principles
and in the right way.

Community-based immunity continues to improve. We will be keeping an eye on this as one of the factors allowing for our return and as soon as we are able, we will cry, sing, and rejoice.
