Hello congregation! It is the Board’s intention to write monthly notes to share what we are up to during this exciting time of transition in our church. These notes are meant to be tiny snapshots, brief and general. If you are interested and would like to know more, see the full agendas and minutes of our monthly Board meetings on our website or in hard copy of the Board bulletin board in the Barlow Room (better known as the entryway in front of the elevator), or better yet, come to a Board meeting to see for yourself!

The 6 goals that the Board has selected for its work this year are the following (not in order of importance or priority):

Financial clarity and fiscal health – Champion, Hester Green

Ministerial transition – Champion. Tara Noone

Journey Toward Wholeness – Champion, Dan Wright

Stewardship (annual pledge drive) – Champion, TBA

Transition to policy governance – Champions, Steve Thomasberger and Rinda Bartley

Strategic planning – Champion, TBA

Future Board Notes will focus on these goals. Our meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the second floor Program Room, and we have just decided to hold one meeting per quarter on Sundays after church so that more folks can observe and comment. If all goes well, the first Sunday meeting will be held on July 28.
