Delegates to General Assembly and District Assembly

Are you thinking about attending UUA General Assembly (GA) in June?
How about the Pacific  Central District Assembly (DA) in April?
Would you like to be a delegate?

(Would you like to know what these things are?)

District Assembly is a chance to get together with others from local congregations.  This year, all three candidates for UUA President will be at DA.  This is a great, and important opportunity to help decide who will be representing Unitarian Universalism for the years to come.  Information about the theme, program, and workshops will be posted soon.

Dates: May 5-6, 2017

Place: Mt. Diable UU Church

Web Site: http://www.pcduua.org

General Assembly: This year’s General Assembly theme “Resist and Rejoice!” will awaken and deepen the commitment of Unitarian Universalists to the power and possibility of working in solidarity with those on the margins. Highlights include the 2017 Ware Lecture from Bryan Stevenson, executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative and author of Just Mercy, and the UUA presidential election.

Dates: June 21-25, 2017

Place: New Orleans, LA

Web Site: http://www.uua.org/ga

The Board of Trustees appoints delegates to both General and District Assemblies.  If you would like to be a delegate to either, please submit a written statement of interest co-signed by 5 other pledging members to the Board President by 3rd Tuesday in March for District Assembly and the 3rd Tuesday in April for General Assembly. Delegates serve terms of one year and are eligible for re- appointment.
